PA UT (PAUT): SRUT - Short Range Guided Wave Inspection with use of Matrix Array Probes

Thanks to the very powerful PA Pulser Receiver electronics allowing the full aperture emitting and receiving of ultrasonic signals ISONIC 3510, ISONIC 2010, and ISONIC 2009 UPA Scope instruments may be used for the Short Range Guided Wave (SRUT) inspection and corrosion screening in the plates, pipe walls under insulation, above pipe supports, and in the air-to-soil interface areas, steel poles in the riveted lap joints and in the the air-to-soil interface areas, and the like with use of the matrix array probes

PDF Brochure

Matrix array probes carrying up to 64-elements may be connected to the PA probe terminal of the ISONIC 2009 UPA Scope instrument directly. Matrix array probes carrying more than 32 elements (up to 64) may be connected to the PA probe terminal of the ISONIC 3510 and ISONIC 2010 instruments through the PA Functionality Extension Adapter

"On the fly" forming of the CB-Scan image representing the unfolded top view of the Region of Interest (ROI) is obtained from the desired single position of the wedged matrix array probe with the use of 3D-Scan S inspection SW package featured with:
  • Intuitive Image Guided PA Pulser Receiver with 3D Beam Forming View
  • 3D-Control of Ultrasonic Beam: two-planes-steering, settling the type of the emitted and selecting the type of the received wave, etc
  • Guided Wave Lateral Sector Scan (Azimuth Scan) Coverage
  • DAC / TCG Image Normalization
  • Independent on TCG Angle Gain Compensation / Gain Per Focal Law Correction
  • 100% Raw Data Capturing
  • Comprehensive Postrpocessing Toolkit Including:
    • Play back and evaluation of the A-Scans captured during the inspection
    • Off-Line Gain Manipulation (per strip)
    • Off-Line DAC Normalization of the B-Scan / CB-Scan strips / DAC Evaluation
    • Numerous Filtering / Reject Options ( by Gate / By Amplitude / dB-to-DAC / etc )
    • Defects Sizing
    • Automatic creating of inspection reports - hard copy / PDF File
