Connection to PC
On connection to the computer via USB port ISONIC utPod is recognized automatically and becomes fully controllable by mouse and keyboard.
This allows performing of instrument operation enjoying comfort of friendly graphic interface and live A-Scan on the computer screen provided by ISONIC utPod for PC software.
This extremely useful utility delivered with every ISONIC utPod unit at no additional cost carries a number of important features such as transfer data and setup files to / from the instrument, data logger files processing, generating of editable comprehensive inspection reports in MS Wordβ format, hard copy print, etc
To prevent the unauthorized modifying of the instrument settings by an operator the supervisor may lock the instrument easily. Upon locked the instrument allows just Gain adjustment along with uploading calibrations from
the earlier prepared files and saving the inspection results files

ISONIC utPort
The portablest all functional remote controlled ultrasonic flaw detector ISONIC utPort was designed carries the ultrasonic card of ISONIC utPod. It was designed for being used either as a permanent sensor or a core element fitted into the frame
of remotely operated vehicles (ROV). Depending on the inspection task to be resolved ISONIC utPort is available in the regular or low frequency version with the parameters identical to ISONIC utPod or ISONIC utPod LF accordingly
Whilst "on-shore / on the ground" ISONIC utPort may be powered and controlled from the regular computer through USB terminal using the standard freely distributable ISONIC utPod for PC SW package; the calibration will be stored in the unit once disconnected
Upon fitted into the frame of ROV or permanent sensing platform ISONIC utPort should be connected to the battery and wireless communication means to become fully controllable from remote computer. ISONIC utPort provides the data stream comprising live
A-Scan and real time gate readings: the same ISONIC utPod for PC standard SW package is applicable. Alternatively the integrators may build their own proprietary software using optional Software Development Kit (SDK)
The videos below illustrate the use of ISONIC utPort on-board of a drone:
Thanks to its extremely low dimensions and light weight combined with the top ultrasonic performance, the ultra-low power consumption, and simplicity of operation ISONIC utPort may be easy integrated into ROV-based testing tools bringing the
inspections to the next reliability level provided by permanent observation of live A-Scans on the ground (stationary base, platform, etc) and the ability of 100% raw data recording
